President
Lakiska Johnson
The roles of the board members are crucial in ensuring effective governance and management. The President presides over board meetings, collaborates with the executive director to create agendas, appoints committee members, serves as the board's contact for issues, sets and ensures the achievement of goals, and holds members accountable for attendance.
Lakiska Johnson is a School Psychologist with more than 20 years of experience working with children,adolescents, and the community. She is the Supervisor of the School Psychological Services Unit at the Grand Bahama, Bimini, and Cays District Education Office in Grand Bahama. With a Master of Education(MEd) and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in School Psychology, Lakiska provides assessment and counselling services to students, consultation services to school personnel, and training and professional development to educators, parents, and other professionals.
Her passion to see every child succeed and walk in their God-given purpose is evident in her tireless efforts to educate, engage, and empower. Lakiska’s commitment to service, coupled with her ability to connect with others, makes her a valuable asset to her local community. When she’s not working, the married mother of one enjoys spending time with her family, reading, travelling, and the occasional Netflix binge.
Vice President
Antoine Brooks
As Vice President, Antoine Brooks steps in for the President when necessary, assists in executing duties, and works closely to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.
Treasurer
Caline Newton
As Treasurer, Caline Newton oversees financial reconciliations, ensures timely legal filings, assists in budget preparation, can form a finance committee, and reviews the annual review or audit.
Assistant Treasurer
Deborah Pratt
As the Assistant Treasurer Deborah Pratt supports the Treasurer in financial oversight, discusses ongoing matters with successors, and familiarizes themselves with bylaws.
A Certified Corporate Trainer, Motivational Speaker, Life Coach, and Writer, Deborah Pratt
is the President of DAPS (Developing Attitudes for Potential Success) Corporate Training
and Business Services. A firm believer in the saying, “Your attitude determines your
altitude,” she is passionate about motivating others to develop and maintain positive attitudes and realize their full potential in life. This is the core of her messages as a speaker and trainer and the basis on which she wrote a weekly motivational column for The Freeport News for more than ten years.

As a Corporate Trainer, Mrs. Pratt specializes in Soft Skills Training, however, her passion is
Customer Service Training. Over the past eighteen years she has conducted
seminars/workshops for many local companies and organizations. She is an Associate Trainer
with the Ministry of Tourism and facilitates training sessions for other Government
Departments including the Ministry of Youth; National Training Agency; and the Public
Service Department. Deborah is also a facilitator for the US Embassy’s Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Program here in The Bahamas.

A Visionary Life Coach, Mrs. Pratt enjoys helping women to discover purpose, pursue their
passions, unleash their potential, and bring the vision for their lives to reality. Besides one-
on-one coaching, she has also hosted several women empowerment events.

Mrs. Pratt is a Distinguished Toastmaster and a Past President of Freeport Eagles
Toastmasters Club1425. Her other Community and Civic affiliations include being a member
of the Board of Directors of the National Training Agency, member of the Board of Directors of The Grand Bahama Resilience Center, member of the Pilot Club of Lucaya; an
ambassador with the Ministry of Tourism’s People-To-People Program; and a Leading Lady in the Princess Court Ministries, a mentorship program for girls. She is a member of New Horizon Worship Centre where she serves as a Council Member; Connect Group Leader; and the Marriage Ministry Leader along with her husband. She has been married to Dwayne Pratt for the past 32 years. They are the proud parents of three young adult daughters, and just recently became grandparents to a precious little girl.
